The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) is a directorate under the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). Norad’s development cooperation focuses on four thematic areas: Climate change and the environment; Health and Aids; Macroeconomics and public administration; and Energy. Under climate change and the environment, Norway is focusing its cooperation on: (i) Sustainable management of biological diversity and natural resources; (ii) Climate change and access to clean energy; (iii) Management of water resources, water and sanitation; and (iv) Hazardous substances. Norad aims to provide development assistance through Norwegian and international partners that contributes effectively to poverty reduction.
