The overall goal of Swedish development cooperation is to contribute to making it possible for poor people to improve their living conditions. By reducing injustices and poverty throughout the world, better opportunities are created for development, peace, and security for all people and nations. Two perspectives - the rights perspective and the perspective of the poor - shall permeate all work.
