SADC - Shared Watercourses Support Project for Buzi, Save and Ruvuma River Basins

The project addresses three major areas identified in SADC’s Regional Strategic Action Plan for Integrated Water Resources Development Management (RSAP-IWRMD), namely: surface water assessment/management, groundwater assessment/management and capacity building. The three areas are being addressed within the framework of the river basin in line with the tenets of the Protocol.

The project objective is to ensure a sustainable framework for an integrated planning and management of shared water resources in the Buzi, Save and Ruvuma river basins for development and support of improved livelihoods of the local communities.
